With support from its 2007 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowshi, the Navarra Quartet’s debut recording on Altara Classic, released for the 200th anniversary of Haydn’s death day, features Haydn’s Seven Last Words of Christ on the Cross. The quartet has also commissioned a series of paintings from Jamie Boyd for illustrated performances of the work. A BBT film documents the project.
