INTRODUCING JAMES BAILLIEU I

View from the Piano - Song is the main thrust of my career

BBT Fellowship winner in 2012, pianist James Baillieu is the focus of a season-long series of concerts at London’s Wigmore Hall, 2015-2016.  Appearing with vocal and instrumental collaborators as well as formulating wide-ranging programmes, the series is also being documented on film by TallWall Media, supported by BBT.  In this first film, James – joined by regular partners countertenor Iestyn Davies and fellow-BBT artist, tenor Allan Clayton – prepares for the world premiere of Nico Muhly’s Lorne ys my liking in December 2015, which James commissioned with funds from BBT, Wigmore Hall and others.
