Jaeden Izik-Dzurko - About

For Canadian pianist Jaeden Izik-Dzurko, his BBT Fellowship is just one of many celebrated awards and prizes, culminating in his winning the 2024 Leeds International Piano Competition: “He demonstrated exceptional artistic maturity and imagination, remarkable technical command, and a profound ability to captivate and transport the audience through his storytelling and poetry throughout the Competition, culminating in a truly unforgettable final performance” (Gramophone). Jaeden maintains a busy performance schedule in recital and as guest soloist across Canada, the US, Asia and Europe. He studied with Yoheved Kaplinsky at the Juilliard School and Corey Hamm at the University of British Columbia and is now a student of Jacob Leuschner and Benedetto Lupo.

Jaeden’s Fellowship funding will support a debut disc for Warner Classics, due to be recorded in 2026, and a new piano concerto co-commission.

Jaeden has been supported with a BBT Fellowship since 2024.
