Hyeyoon Park - About

BBT is all about trust. I’m very grateful to have met such a valuable companion in my lifelong musical journey who will always be by my side and I can share my dreams with. Thank you so much, BBT, for offering so much support, opportunities and trust!

Born in South Korea and now London-based, violinist Hyeyoon Park continues to excel both in concerto repertoire and chamber music. Her regular chamber partners include Benjamin Grosvenor, alongside fellow BBT alumni such as Timothy Ridout and – at BBT’s 20th birthday celebrations – Multi-Story Orchestra, Kate Whitley, Ruby Hughes and Simone Rubino.

Hyeyoon’s BBT Award facilitated a London showcase concert, her UK debut, in which she was accompanied by Lauma Skride.  Always of huge importance for a string player, Hyeyoon was also able to purchase a new bow. And finally, but equally importantly, was the ability to commission new photographs.

Hyeyoon was supported with a BBT Award between 2011 and 2014.
