Formed at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2019, the Fibonacci Quartet has quickly forged a reputation as one of Europe’s stellar young string quartets and has an impressive portfolio of prizes, including both the First and Audience Prize at the Premio Paolo Borciani International String Quartet Competition and now a BBT Fellowship. Alongside a busy performing schedule throughout the UK and Europe at leading venues and festivals, the Quartet also teaches at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and at the Royal Academy of Music. The Fibonacci Quartet joined the Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) roster in 2024 and is currently Grand Résident Ensemble at ProQuartet in Paris for the 2025/26 and 2026/27 seasons.
Praised for the expressive vitality of their ensemble playing, the Fibonaccis display “heart-melting lyricism” and “passionate intensity” (The Arts Desk) and embrace a wide range of repertoire, including their own arrangements of jazz to heavy metal.
