Beautiful, it made me relive the emotions of a concert, now that I can no longer move. I would like the experience to continue with more concerts.

We are profoundly grateful to the Borletti-Buitoni Trust because, thanks to its contribution, we were able to develop this musically and ethically meaningful project that brought comfort, joy and light to the frail and elderly.
Società del Quartetto di Milano
Società del Quartetto di Milano was founded in 1864 by pre-eminent figures of Milanese society to share a passion for music. Nowadays it is committed to sharing music with the widest, most marginalised local communities. Through livestreaming of its concerts, featuring many of the world’s leading musicians, it promotes the wellbeing, greater social cohesion and reduced isolation that the experience of live music can bring to potentially thousands of underprivileged communities in the metropolitan area.
Building on an approach first trialled during the Covid-19 pandemic, a BBT Community Grant in 2023 supported the further continuation and development of this successful project, working in partnership with three highly-regarded organisations in Milan: Humanitas Research Hospital, internationally acclaimed as a centre for the treatment and research in? of? neurodegenerative diseases; a nursing home for musicians founded over a century ago according to the wishes of Giuseppe Verdi; and the Fondazione Don Carlo Gnocchi Onlus rehabilitation centre for congenitally disabled children and adolescents.
