To have been chosen for a BBT Fellowship is such a huge honour for me and I’m so grateful to be supported in this way at this stage of my career. Thanks to the Trust’s support and advice I am able to ‘hurry slowly’ and develop my own personality step by step. The trust opened up opportunities for me to meet and learn from such wonderful musicians as Mitsuko Uchida, and to allow a wide range of experiences to expand my horizon. I cannot thank you enough for this very special support.
German violinist, Veronika Eberle’s exceptional talent and the poise and maturity of her musicianship have been recognised by many of the world’s finest orchestras, venues and festivals, as well as by some of the most eminent conductors. She made her concerto debut at the age of 10, burst onto the international concert scene at the Salzburg Easter Festival with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and Sir Simon Rattle aged 16, and continues notching up debuts around the world, such is the demand for her musical artistry.
Veronika’s BBT fellowship helped with practical needs, including instrument insurance, funds towards buying a new bow, and travel costs to auditions, masterclasses and the presitigious Marlboro Summer School in the US. BBT also organised a London run-in concert for her with BBT alumnus Shai Wosner, and welcomed Veronika’s participation in the BBT 10th anniversary celebrations at London’s Southbank Centre in 2013.
Veronika received support with a BBT Fellowship between 2008 and 2011.
