BBT Connections: Mostly Mozart

	Mostly Mozart 2006 An array of Borletti-Buitoni Trust award and fellowship winners appear at the Barbican’s hugely successful Mostly Mozart festival this year:
Hyunah Yu	Hyunah Yu Hyunah Yu recently made her operatic debut in the leading role of Peter Sellars’ Zaide in Vienna: “… with her floating, high, silvery voice - as Zaide, the only woman and the shining light in this seraglio”* UK audiences will be able to see this remarkable soprano in a semi-staged version on 6 July. (BBT has committed further funds to support an EMI Debut Disc which will be released in January 2007.)
Emma Bell	Emma Bell Her two BBT-funded CDs released last year on the Linn record label were critically acclaimed and coincided with her ENO and Royal Opera debuts. Thoroughly at home in the Mozart repertoire, she appears with the Academy of St Martin in the Fields conducted by David Stern on 13 July singing the composer’s ‘concerto for voice’ Exultate Jubilate.
Philip Moore and Simon Crawford Philips	Philip Moore and Simon Crawford Philips Recognised as two of the brightest young pianists around, they show off their talents in Mozart’s Concerto for Two Pianos on Saturday 22 July. (With their BBT monies they have commissioned their own Concerto for Two Pianos from young composer Detlev Glanert for the 2007/08 season).
