Highly acclaimed for her "extremely deep musicality, remarkable fluidity, nuancing and sense of style" (Walter Arlen – Los Angeles Times), Gloria Campaner is considered one of the most interesting pianists of her generation. Born in Venice, she began her piano lessons at the age of four and has studied with B. Mezzena, K. Bogino and Fany Solter (Konzertexam in Karlsruhe). She has been the winner of more than 20 competitions, including 1st Prize and Prokofiev Special Award at the 2009 IBLA Grand Prize and the Silver Medal at Los Angeles Paderewski International Piano Competition, as well as the Paderewski and Chopin best performance awards. Gloria Campaner was appointed European Ambassador for Culture as part of Piano, Reflet de la Culture Européenne (2010/11), won European Prize for Culture at the Cultural Foundation 'Pro Europa' in 2011 and now adds a 2014 Borletti-Buitoni Fellowship to her collection. Several of her concerts have been broadcast on radio and TV including RAI, Radio Ljubljana, SKY Classica, RTSI and CNN. Her debut CD featuring Schumann and Rachmaninov was released by EMI in 2013 with a second to follow in 2014. As well as recital and concert tours, she enjoys chamber music, contemporary music and teaching. Among others, she has performed with J. Moser, I. Gitlis, A. Chumachenco, M. Abbado, M. Kugel, S. Krilov, soloists of the Stuttgart Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonic of La Scala (Milan). Recent and future engagements include solo recitals in Italy, Germany, USA, South America, China, and Japan and a collaboration with Royal Concertgebouw soloists for chamber music in Amsterdam and Italy.
