Korean violinist Hyeyoon Park, still in her teens, has received many prizes and awards including First Prize at the 58th ARD International Music Competition in Munich in 2009 as the youngest ever winner in the history of the competition and the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award 2011. Since her debut with Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra at the age of nine, Hyeyoon has played with some of the world's finest orchestras. Highlights among her recent and upcoming engagements include performances with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks, NHK Symphony Tokyo, Montreal Symphony, Mariinsky Theatre Symphony, SWR Stuttgart, NDR Hamburg, DSO Berlin, Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, HR-Sinfonieorchester Frankfurt, MDR Leipzig, Belgrade Philharmonic, Orchestre National de Lille and Vienna Chamber Orchestra. Hyeyoon Park appears as a recitalist and chamber musician in international festivals including Heimbach “Spannungen”, Rheingau, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Schleswig-Holstein, Bad Kissingen, Schwetzinger Festspiele, Moritzburg Festival, Lockenhaus and Les Violons de la Paix. She has performed with Lars Vogt, Antje Weithaas, Gustav Rivinius, Daniel Hope and Paul Watkins. Frequently praised for her radiant stage presence, she is also lauded for her vivid personality as well as her inspiring and mature interpretations of repertoire stretching from Bach to Bartok. Born in Seoul in 1992, Hyeyoon began learning the violin at age four. She is currently studying with Christian Tetzlaff at the Kronberg Academy. In the past years, she has studied with Antje Weithaas at the Academy of Music “Hanns-Eisler” Berlin and with Piotr Milewski at College-Conservatory of Music Cincinnati. Hyeyoon Park plays a Lorenzo Storioni violin (Cremona, 1781) loaned by the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
