The David Trio made its international debut in April 2004 winning First Prize at the J. F. Haydn International Chamber Music Competition in Vienna. They were also awarded a Special Prize given by the Bösendorfer Foundation for the best interpretation of a Haydn Trio. Composed of international prize winning and experienced chamber musicians, it has attended the Masterclasses of Hatto Beyerle of the Altenberg Trio Wien, and of the Trio di Trieste. The trio is a member of the European Chamber Music Academy. Already present on the Italian concert scene with concerts at the I concerti del Quirinale in Rome which was broadcast live by RAI-Radio3, Società del Quartetto of Vercelli, Teatro Ponchielli in Cremona, Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza, Amici della Musica of Padova, Pescara, Foggia, Modena, Udine and others of the most important concert series in Italy. The David Trio has also been invited to play by the Festival Casals of Prades, Haydn Festival of Eisenstadt, Rohrau Haydn-Gedenkstätte, St. Pölten Festspielhaus, Allegro Vivo Chamber Festival and Montpellier-Radio France Festival. In 2005, the trio won First Prize at the 21st Chamber Music Competition, Yellow Springs in Ohio and in 2006 the First Prize and Public Prize at the International Chesapeake Chamber Music Competition in Washington DC. Their recent tour of South America included playing in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay and Mexico to great critical acclaim. In 2008 they participated as teachers at the "Cameralia" of Santiago de Compostella in Spain. Their recording of Schubert’s Complete Music for Piano Trio is released on Altara Classics in November 2008.
